I left so full! The food was amazing and very fresh! We ordered a little too much food but no regrets. The quac was delicious, and the chips cooked to perfection. The fish nachos were spectacular and we inhaled them without coming up for air. I ordered the urban bowl which was phenomenal and the rice and beans were a great surprise at the bottom. My boyfriend ordered the fish tacos, and in a forced rating they were our least favorite. However, they were super fresh (along with everything else that we ate). We still had some urban bowl left over and I look forward to eating that tomorrow. The staff is so great and very friendly! Ryan was so helpful when ordering, as we were new to the restaurant.

Boom, stop, eat here, do it. Freakishly delicious and fresh food. Yummy mango cilantro tacos and if you've never dipped a chip in hot tamale sauce, you really do need to. The enchiladas are also chronic.

Being a taco aficionado but no expert on Mexican, Tex-Mex or other such foods, I've been to Salsa Fiesta several times and can attest that they have some of the cleanest to the palate tasting tacos and sides in town which I believe is tribute not only to their culinary talents but also to the fact that they do use the freshest of fresh ingredients. They also have several good choices of taco shells but confess my favorite being their fish taco in whole wheat shell. Though Salsa Fiesta has only recently opened they seem to have their act together. As you walk in there are menus, which are rather wide ranging in variety, as well as an over the counter board of their offerings. You merely make your selection, they hand you some little blinker gizmo gadget which alerts the serving staff of your seating location, have a seat and they will serve you your meal. The salsa, condiments, sauces and beverages are in the rear and though the selection is small, they are all tasty, consisting of from the ground on up freshly made ingredients.

I've had many different items from Salsa Fiesta over the last year. *the guac and the famous tamale dip. The guac was top notch and the tamale dip was definitely different from anything I've had before. Definitely a fan of the torta sandwiches. Considering the vast amount of cheap mexican/american food in the area, these sandwiches are something different and very tasty! I typically get a salad. I forget which one, but it's delicious!! I love the tostones on the side! Almost forgot to add - the tamarind salsa! Don't forget to try that one! The dessert was also a high point for me. Based on the description I was expecting a soft crepe like dessert, but it was more of a crunchy roll that was delicious! The dulce de leche dipping sauce was a nice touch. This is the first location to add breakfast, and I'm definitely planning on going back to try it!

I just saw that I had written a review for a Salsa Fiesta restaurant on July 19, 2013, and yet I have zero recollection of eating here at this location! Though what we ate was different my conclusions were basically the same then as now! As most 'fast casual' as they seem to be referred to today Salsa Fiesta is bright and cheery as most of the help seems to be. I don't know why franchise owners don't go that extra step and make the cashier/order taker/ order deliverer an official server so they can earn more tips. Though there is a tip jar near the register most people seem to ignore it or just throw the coins they get for change into it. We walked in around 6 PM and the place was empty. Whether the fact that their outside sign hadn't come on yet had anything to do with it I did notice when the sign came on, more people came in. It is in a shopping center at the far north end and hard to see so with it getting darker earlier maybe they should change the timer. In any case the 'host' Ariagnas took our order giving us plenty of time to look over the extended menu and after paying her we went and got our sodas, sat down, having to wipe the table as it had the previous eater's scraps on it. Allen and I had the fajitas combo (it is very easy to miss the extra dollar charge for the combo, which doesn't make sense as it is $10.99 for either all chicken or steak) at $11.99 each plus a diet soda at $2.25 each. They came on the usual sizzling platter with the meat on top of onions and peppers with a choice of 4 different type of tortillas or a lettuce wrap. We were served, on the side, a healthy portion of sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole and a small portion of shredded cheese. All in all it tasted very good. I was disappointed in that most Mexican restaurants I have eaten in always give you a portion of chips and salsa to nibble on while waiting for your main course but not here. We had a groupon for $12 entitling us to $20 worth of food so our check came to $7.93 making the dinner well worth it but if we were paying regular prices it would have been $30 without that little bit extra of complete table service.

Love this place. Great food at a great price!! I came in today for and I think I confused the person taking my order. Needless to say I got something I didn't order. The manager (Milan) immediately replaced my dish. That's amazing customer service!!!

Definitely one of my more favorite Mexican places around, this and whole ench are my tops. The Mexicano burrito bowl with cilantro cream sauce is on point. The other stuff is ok, but this bowl is the best bowl around! The other gem is their salsa, it's rich and unlike anything you'll ever taste. The only reason it's a four is because TWE is slightly number one over them.

Took awhile to get up to order, but found out they were short handed. The food was all very good but more chips and warmed cheese dip would have been better. There could have been twice as many tortillas for our fajitas also. The big plates the food is served on are a nice touch. And the outdoor dining area was great! Really! Big chairs and a privacy hedge made for a pleasant experience. Will definitely be back!

I like the taco salad here a lot there is a lot of ingredients in it and it is very filling. Good place for lunch or a light dinner and the decor is nice.

Salsa Fiesta. Yet another neighborhood Tex-Mex restaurant chain to pop up serving up things like burritos, fajitas, tacos with a fresh salsa bar... Yawwwwn.... do you sense a hint of boredom here? YES. Let's see, in one square mile around my office, we have Tijuana Flats, Whole Enchilada, Moe's, Rocco's, Hot Tomatoes, and, the holy grail of them all in my opinion, CHIPOTLE. Chipotle is the only one of these places that ever really impressed me and has kept me coming back for more of that insane, delectable guacamole. Some quick, off-topic fun facts - Chipotle is NOT owned by McDonald's. McD's used to be the sole investor in Chipotle, but the company has since cut ties due to their wild success. I listened to a radio interview with Jason Mraz on Z-100 and heard he farms avocados and sells to Chipotle! How cool. OK, I digress.... I stopped in at Salsa Fiesta for a quick lunch after running an errand. I felt like having some fish tacos, and noticed this location tucked away in a strip mall off Federal Highway. The menu looks decent, but as I said before, there's nothing that really stands out and demands my attention. Instead of the tacos, I figured an "Urban Salad Bowl" topped with fish and a scoop of rice and beans might fill me up and keep me from invading my stash of chocolate around 3 pm. When I ordered, the cashier hands me an electronic buzzer to notify me when the food is ready. I walked over to the fresh salsa bar and filled up two small containers with the low octane salsa. The salsa bar is kept very clean and orderly - not like the salsa bar tornado I've seen at other establishments. Within 1 minute, my buzzer was buzzing and I had the food in hand. I didn't stick around to eat - but from what I can tell - the tables are kept clean too. By now, my stomach has gone from low rumbling to a full blown gurgling roar and hunger hit me so hard I suddenly wanted to chew off my own arm! I rush to my desk and spread the to-go containers out. I pop open the Styrofoam lid and I see a pile of lettuce. I dig further and find a few pieces of fish, rice, beans, salsa and some guac. I dig my fork in and open my mouth for an embarrassingly big bite. It's just OK. The salsa is good. The beans are good. The fish is good. If "good" is what you are after, you'll find it at Salsa Fiesta. I'd like to say I'd go back to try them again, but Chipotle is just a hop, skip and jump down the road and I haven't been let down yet.

Yummy fast food Mexican. The salsa (if you can call it that) is the bomb and you can buy containers to take home. Crowded for lunch but fun on a Friday.

At first ordering can be confusing but you can almost get it right. Tried the fish tacos and they were filled with mango coleslaw and very little fish. Chips were extra and so was the Pico de Gallo. Watch out for stealth upcharging

I've eaten here twice in the past two weeks and both times I ordered the steak fajitas. The first time I ordered them they were delicious! The second time I ordered them the meat was VERY dry and had no flavor whatsoever. I was extremely disappointed because I thought I found good quick mexican food right by my house. Hopefully I just went on an off day. I will try it one more time just to give it a fair chance.

Let me begin by saying I love Salsa Fiesta's food. Their Merro Macho taco is bomb and all their salsas at the condiment bar are delicious. However, the service at the Fort Lauderdale location makes it very hard for me to give them more than three stars. Over the course of my visits I've experienced the following: - a clearly new employee working the phone taking to go orders, took 10 to 15 minutes to take an order for two things because no one was there helping him work the computer...seems unfair to put a new employee in such an uncomfortable and unproductive situation - a very rude cashier who turned to a fellow employee across the kitchen to say "how embarrassing" and laughing when my sister accidentally knocked over a bottle when handing the cashier her money...nothing was broken or spilled, guess I don't share their sense of humor - employees shouting to the chefs in the kitchen about items they were missing from a to go order in front of the customer and every one else in the restaurant In short, good food bad service

I think i have a problem... My first time dining here was ruffly 2 weeks ago. Within 36 hours I had eaten here a total of 3 times. Love the atmosphere, love the sauces, love the taco choices. have talked about this place to so many ppl lately. Way better quality then tijuana flats, moes and chipotle!

Cute place for some fresh mexican food. I ordered 2 mango taco's with the combo (adds chips and pico de gallo) and a bottle of water came to $9. Pretty reasonable. Service: Friendly Food: Not over the top, but if I was in the area I would come back Atmosphere: Calm and median sound level and great for lunch.

  • Brindar S.

Food was amazing. Ordered two tacos, forgot the specific names, but one had black beans and it was outstanding. Ordered the platter with pico de gallo and chips. Only giving 4 stars because I think a side of 20 chips should be something that's included and shouldn't cost $1.50 extra. Also because the service was *almost perfect. The woman who poured my beer only filled the glass about 3/4 full and thought that was ok. Also one of my tacos was supposed to be fish and the other chicken, but they both tasted like chicken.

  • Stacy D.

Not bad for a fast food place. Way better than chipotle I think. I had the tostones with steak and it was pretty good. Don't really like the salsa they have at the salsa bar it could be better.

Good food. The lettuce wrap option for many of there items is great and the salsas and hot sauces are fantastic! The portions are good sized and the prices are pretty reasonable.

If Applebee's and Chipotle had a baby this restaurant would be it. Lacks the taste and portion size of Chipotle but is presented as if I was eating at an Applebee's with the lack of taste Applebee's has in all their dishes. I had a steak taco salad and was not impressed at all. Good of you are looking for a quick bite to eat for a cheap prices but is not satisfying if you are looking for a full Mexican meal.

Always clean tables & friendly staff. Quesadilla's are guaranteed to make you happy. Guava sauce w/ cheese pastry is delish. Nacho's are one of the best i've tried. Can't go wrong here. Dog friendly outdoor seating, plus they bring your pet a water bowl

With all the reviews on here, I thought this would be a good experience. The quesadilla literally had next to no meat on it. Pathetic. I want my $9 back.

This place was fabulous!! We tried a little bit of everything and were pleased with it all. We will absolutely be back for breakfast as we have heard from numerous people that it is great too! The atmosphere was fun, the owners were very nice, and the food was great. A little more expensive than Chipolte, Zona Fresca, etc, but the food seems much fresher. I recommend everyone try it out.

I stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting friends at Ft. Lauderdale from Pennsylvania and did not expect what I got. Great food and awesome service (the manager came out to ask how we were doing. She was awesome!). Loved their salsa bar, it felt like we were eating real and authentic Mexican food. The new Ceviche on the menu was to die for. Next time I come to Ft. Lauderdale I'm definitely coming back! Two thumbs up!

Every time I come here the food is fantastic and the servers are really friendly. Lunches are pretty packed, but service is still pretty quick. I just discovered the queso dip. Oh my! It's to die for.

Surprisingly, this has become my go to for fast food style Tex-Mex. I find that the selection offered here, especially the inclusion of fajitas on the menu, set this place apart from Tijuana Flats and The Whole Enchilada. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of those places as well, but find myself at Salsa Fiesta more regularly. The menu choices are numerous, which can make ordering for first timers a bit awkward, but once you get the hang of it, no problem. The presentation of food is a bit more refined than typical fast food joints. I also like you can choose whole wheat tortillas for any of your desired dishes, so you can at least think you're being healthy. I have had the fish tacos here (various styles) and the fajitas, both steak and chicken. The fajitas are my favorite (chicken, as the steak was a bit overcooked when I ordered it). Served sizzling with a nice array of veggies, this is my go to dish. My girlfriend likes the simple chicken quesadillas, although sometimes a bit more chicken should be added. We have also had breakfast here. The gluten free waffle was pretty good but definitely needs the sauces its served with for flavor. The breakfast burrito was massive and a pretty good and filling spicy breakfast. The only complaint is that it is served with tortilla chips. I wish it was served with some fresh fruit instead to offset the awfully savory breakfast. Dessert here, the Mayan rolls, are a chocolatey treat. Service has always been fast and efficient. We are always warmly received by management who asks us how everything is. I wish there was a television at this location however, as sometimes I miss the tail end of Sunday football when dining here (others may see no TV as a plus). Overall however, a good spot.

I've been seeing signs for Salsa fiesta, so I decided to give it a try. They were very fast bringing the food. The guacamole was under seasoned. The salsa bar had nats flying all over it. So I have feelings on the place.

I have been coming here once a week for lunch since I began working in Fort Lauderdale. Outstanding food and service. The crew has always been friendly, helpful and efficient. Ample seating both inside and outside. The location is ideal for people who live and/or work in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Pretty good food. I walked and and immediately greeted by a very friendly staff. She explained the menu and made a few suggestions. I have the green chicken enchiladas with a side of white rice and beans. The food was out there quickly. The salsa bar was a bit limited but the green salsa and red salsa were flavorful and mild. The chicken was moist with excellent flavor. The green sauce was good not great and I could have used a little more on the enchiladas. The rice was moist with a touch of cilantro and the black beans were average. Overall I was pleasantly pleased and will return to this restaurant in the future.

Have been here twice, Food was OK, had the burrito bowl with chips and salsa one time, quesadilla another time. service was ok, somewhat slow, didn't care for how open it is to the kitchen area because it seemed a little dirty and the staff were yelling at each other while I was waiting for my food. Probably would not go back again.

I used to really like this place a lot but it has totally gone downhill. I went there with another person and I got a Mexicano steak bowl. He ordered a guacamole burrito, we asked for a side of chips with pico and guacamole. I asked for a sangria and the un-showered man at the register said they were out. I asked if the margaritas were made fresh and he said no...ok I'll just get a doseques...$28 and change...they used to give you regular glasses now I guess it's just plastic cups...the soda fountain had fruit flies flying around. Salsa bar had no limes. Only lemons (why?). I filled up my drink and started walking to my table. The same guy from the register was standing right in the walkway chatting with someone. I was carrying salsas and a soda. He wouldn't even move out of the way. I almost dropped everything I had in my hands trying to maneuver around him. Then he brought the food out and let us know we forgot out silverware and napkins and we had to go get then ourselves. Really!?? He should have definitely gotten that for us!!! The chips that we ordered were served as an add on to my meal which was not what we ordered. Guacamole was totally not made in house! The rest of the food was pretty good. Then we observed the man working there wiping down the tables with HIS HAND! Gross! Right after he spend the last 10 minutes wandering around next to the front door smoking and playing on his phone. Never saw him go to the back and wash his hands. There was a young girl working there as well. We saw the same guy start kissing her rubbing her stomach, shoulders ect and she was letting him! So incredibly inappropriate!!!! I will never ever ever ever come back to his place!!!! The owner really needs to reevaluate what he is paying his employees for. They can't make a sangria or a margarita, they don't get napkins or silverware for customers. They don't clean, no table service no nothin'. Would have been better off getting rid of the lazy pervert and use that extra cash to get some limes and ingredients to make fresh food and drinks. In response to your reply. 1.) take the sangria off the menu. 2.) nobody wants a premade margarita. 3.) totally lying about the guacamole. I asked for avocado and was told you don't have any only guacamole. 4.) this was actually a good season for limes. However there was a jump in price. So don't claim the quality isn't good when the restaurant is just too cheap to buy them. 5.) don't message me to come in for a free meal and "discuss" my review. No thank you I'm not coming in to listen to more half assed excuses and bs. Have a good day and good luck with your business. Try kitchen nightmares. Maybe they'll help you out.

I love this place! It's one of the few places my finicky family and I all agree on and consistently enjoy. My husband always gets the chicken fajitas. It's a nice sized portion with all the fixings. He really likes them (he's picky). My daughter gets their grilled cheese torta which comes on Mexican bread (she's pickier). I'm the adventurous one. I've tried a few different things and have been more than satisfied every time. I'd recommend everything I've tried. Their enchilada dip is a great starter (there is always a sample at the counter), it's vegan too! Their tostones platters are excellent as well as their salads. Tonight I tried a combo platter which had ceviche (beautifully presented, delicious and a generous portion) and a Milanesa chicken torta which was topped with more deliciousness including pickled onions, chipotle beans and cilantro cream. That chicken sandwich was FANTASTIC! It was cooked perfectly and so many great flavors. The bread is grilled to perfection. I am happy to say it was so big, I get to eat the second half tomorrow. I really hope this place sticks around. It's consistently delicious, great quality, nice portions and great service. For fresh Mex, it's the best in town!

I was excited to try this place while staying in Ft Lauderdale on vacation. It was only a few blocks away from our hotel in Las Olas - which was great for eating lots of Mexican food and then walking it off. The menu looked great from the website, they serve beer and margaritas, and there were a lot of good reviews, so it was a no brainer. The place kind of has a Baja Fresh feel, but nicer with dimmer lighting and a cooler vibe. The similarity really is just in the counter ordering, plain tables, and fresh salsa bar in the back. The menu has so many choices, I was pretty overwhelmed to have to order so speedily. I ended up choosing one of the tortas, a grilled mexican sandwich. It tasted super fresh, most of the ingredients had to be homemade. My tip is to try anything with their chipotle beans. They were so good and perfectly spicy. It was a great size for lunch, not quite as filling for dinner as it is not served with any sides. My guy got a burrito bowl (and tacos too. Must be nice to be a guy!) which looked great and something I would try in another visit. There is a nice fresh salsa bar in the back to try with your meal as well. We also ordered a couple margs', which was a nice novelty since it was a cheap & casual restaurant, but I'd rather pay a few more bucks at a nice restaurant for a tastier drink. Also, this location is the only one to serve a breakfast menu. Mexican breakfast is the best reason to wake up! The restaurant has a kind of cool vibe to it, but still has the Mexican fast food chain-ey feel to it as well. It's like a way cooler Chipotle/Qdoba/etc. There are also a few outdoor tables as well, which I'm a fan of. The only downside is that your view is the parking lot!

Chipotle look-a-like... but with more choices! FOOD FOOD I enjoyed the inclusion of seafood as an addition to the typical "bases"--on nachos, burritos, tacos, etc. Even cooler is the inclusion of the salsa bar in the rear--contains a handful of freshly made salsa varieties and a few bottled "Tabasco" types. While not Mexican home-style, the food here has tasted great. The textures were on point--veggies were crisp and the salsa tasted fresh. There really wasn't a lot to WOW me here. It was just decently good lunch food. ENVIRONMENT The décor here is very metal and under-construction finished off with a few bold murals. Because of the open space and windows, it still felt a little impersonal--probably because I haven't ran into any huge crowds here yet.

My girlfriend and I decided to pop into the new Salsa Fiesta for lunch a few days ago.... It's giving ZESTY NEW LIFE to the old Energy Kitchen spot. The place was packed at noon on a Friday. It reminded me of Chipotle in Austin Texas last month, with hip, young professionals all over the place. We did a double take and pinched ourselves to see if we were still in Florida?! The decor is artsy, hip and modern, employees are friendly and engaging, menu is extensive with options on any which way you could ever think of having a taco, enchilada, tostada, etc. Pick your theme of toppings, your lettuce wrap or tortilla, your meat, etc..... You could come here 30 days straight and always come up with something different. I had the grilled fish tacos, one guerrera? style on corn and the other spicy tangy on flour. They were great, yet a little light on the fish portion and the spicy tangy was a bit too spicy for me. Granted, my tolerance for spice is not exceptionally high. I was feeling brave. My friend indulged in the steak and carnitas tacos, she loved them. Very fresh and all made to order. Great salsa bar too. Afterwards, one of the owner/managers asked us for feedback. He was awesome and friendly, told us how they started in Venezuela and they now have quite a few restaurants here in FLorida. We gave our feedback & he sent us out with an amazing, deep fried churro?, chocolate filled dessert with caramel and whipped cream. Heavenly. We will definitely be popping back in here for more Lunch Fiesta's in the future. Oh and they have a Colorado Microbrew on tap! Will have to try that on a dinner visit!

I'm in love!!! Fresh, quality ingredients! Beautiful food presentation! The restaurant is very clean. A++++ The only thing I didn't like is that I was charged almost $5 for one extra taco I added to my $8.99 taco platter which came with 3 tacos. Also by the time I got to my fourth taco it was so soggy because of the sauce - no problem. I asked for another flour tortilla and they charged me $0.54 - I spent $20 on lunch - 4 tacos with a small guac, a drink, and on extra flour tortilla.

Consistently Delicious - the menu continues to be tweaked and evolve. We've been here many times for lunch and dinner and always had good food and attentive service. Now that night's and weekends have table service (with cloth napkins!) They have really stepped up the "nice" factor and sets them apart from Chipolte, Zona Fresca, & the other counter service Mexican places!

These assholes. Wth happened with customer service when they ask you wtf you want and do the exact opposite of it? I order nachos and ask for no cheese and ask that the sour cream be exchanged for the cheese in the SAME amount as they'd give the cheese. If they add cheese they put it in a Microwave convection oven which = soggy chips for me. The cashier agrees, add no cheese but I drive all the way home with NOT EVEN close to a dollop of sour cream on my nachos. What's so hard with just ATTENTION TO DETAIL. 2nd salsa fiesta to pull this shit on me. Thurs Aug 6th,2015 5:20PM

Went for lunch on a Monday. They are very quick to fill orders and bring it to your table. You order at the counter. There is a salsa bar with four flavors(tamarind-sweet, verde, cabbage, and traditional salsa) none were spicy to me. There is a self serve drink machine. They also sell beer and margaritas. During HH they offer some drink specials and discounted chips and dip. I ordered the steak nachos for $9. It was the perfect size portion and toppings. Well seasoned diced steak, guacamole, sour cream, black beans, shredded cheese, pico de gallo. The cheese should have been melted a little more. Overall, good flavor and I ate them all! Staff checked on me though out my meal. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking in attached lot. I will be back to try the tostones!

I was in the area and stopped in for dinner with some friends. It was my first time there so it took me a little while to decided since the menu is pretty large. I like all the option though. Lots of ways to personalize your meal. I ended up ordering the cheese taquitos with guava cream and steak quesadilla on a whole wheat tortilla. Both items were super yummy. The taquitos dipped in the cream gives you the great cheesy taste but with a sweet element. The quesadilla was fresh and really flavorful. I tried my friend's hot tamale dip and really liked it also. Nice little patio area for outdoor seating. The colorful chairs were great. Hopefully, one will open a little closer to me so I can visit more often.

Sam essentially forced me to try this restaurant on Sunday. I personally wanted to go to Chipotle, but Sam wasn't having it. He's apparently over Chipotle as I make him go with me pretty often. He told me he loves Salsa Fiesta and that we had to go there. I obliged being the good girlfriend that I am. I was worried coming here because I anticipated lots of fried things and heavy burritos drenched in cheese. Sam assured me that they had things like salads and other light options. When we got there I was pleasantly surprised to find that Sam was right and they had numerous healthy options. I went for the Acapulco steak salad. This salad came with a heaping scoop of guac and pico, roasted corn, cheese and 4 tostones on the side. I asked them to add black beans as well. I also ordered a side of chips because I wanted to try the 4 different salsas that were featured in the salsa bar. The salad was quite delicious and so were the tostones. I was seriously full after finishing the bowl! All of the salsas were pretty spot on too. I especially liked the sweet one (I forget what the ingredients were, but it was yellow on color). All in all I'm glad Sam "forced" me to come, the food was delicious. I however will never lose my allegiance to Chipotle as the best tex-mex fast casual restaurant EVER.

Always liked this place...The food is always reliable except they turned a fast food place into a sitdown joint. This felt like an experiment gone wrong. I will stick to a place where I can run in, order food and leave. I will stick to Zona Fresca and Whole Enchilada. I don't need a server for fast food.

Had the pork tostones $9.99, they looked great. But lacking flavor with next to no meat on the plate. Service was good, and fast. Would be happy to come back again. I hope the kitchen staff do a better job cleaning the plates next time, but the staff made up for that oversight, it happens. This place is functional, but not a must visit by any means. Next!

Ordered online. What a bad idea. They didn't even know order had been placed until I physically showed up 20 minutes later. They said it "would take just a minute." 15 minutes later half my to go food arrived. Five minutes after the rest. No discount. No offer of even a drink while I wait for their fast casual Mexican fare. Nobody even willing to make eye contact with me as I stood right by the registers. Very disappointing customer service from a place with a half dozen servers or the like constantly walking past me. Definitely not excited to walk back into that place.

(Too hangry to snap a photo fail!) That being said the food was pretty good. Reminded me of an upscale Chipotle, but different. Their menu was a little confusing (especially when hangry); there were so many options to choose from. Would recommend any of their salad bowls. Definitely "diet" friendly as you can get any of their food without rice, tortilla, etc. I love the fried plantain patty things. Ask for them as a side with some of their sweet guava sauce to dip in! Yum yum yum! The cheese tostones were pretty good as well.

I was originally thinking 3 stars...until a few hours after eating here, my tummy was rumbly. For the record, I by no means have a weak stomach. If my stomach reacted that way, I am SURE it was due to something in my meal from here. :( The reason I was going with 3 stars before the tummy incident was that even though the food was 'OK' (remember, this was before the tummy incident) there was nothing outstanding that would bring me back, and the service was lackluster, albeit quick. The guy that takes the orders was kind of a grump, and I felt rushed even though there was no one behind me. Considering how fast the food came out, which is usually a plus on lunch breaks, I assume that somehow the food quality suffered along that fast lane. My hesitation to knock them all the way down to 1 star is due to the fact that I LOVE the Miami location. This particular location has some work to do in order to catch up with their sister store. Meh. Pass me my tummy tea.

A mexican place is only as good as it's salsas. I refuse to remember that sushi 1 isn't open on Sunday so I gave this place a try. I like expected Mexican food so unexpected left me curious. The menu is one of those choose your own adventure type of dining where you pick your vehicle , you pick the meat , then the toppings followed by an EXTENSIVE salsa bar. There are also a lot of additional items on the menu, how unexpected. So far I haven't tried enough stuff to really feel like I've experienced this place but here is what I've loved so far : Milanese Torta , the hot tamale salsa and the tamarind salsa. Also tried a carnitas quesadilla that was just ok. Next visit I want to try their agave beer and beergarita as well as their tostone salad.

Tamarind is my new favorite flavor. The tarami for margarita and the tamarind salsa on anything...whew, that's some good eating. That is all.

I come here at least twice a week and sometimes more. I get the lettuce wrapped Guerrero Fish Tacos and they are excellent! The staff are excellent, especially Ryan and Alexa. They are always super friendly and provide excellent service. I bring people here to eat often, sometimes large groups and they all love it as well. I definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I called in an order at 12:15. I arrive at 12:40, hoping to pay and leave fast as I needed to get back to work. I arrive and wait 20 minutes in the very slow line to get to the register. I pay and as the girl turns to grab my food she says "oh sorry your order was given to another person by mistake who placed a take out order as well." I said ok and will wait. Instead of rushing my order to the front since they now have had 45 minutes to get my order done, they put me in the LONG lunch list and I waited until 1:30pm to get the order. If I wasn't starving, I would have never waited. The only reason I am giving any stars, is because the food is good and they refunded my money after I told them they needed to. Really disappointed. 50 minutes waiting for a takeout order is just unacceptable.

This is my new favorite fast casual spot in Fort Lauderdale. The reviews that I have read on Yelp are right on point- THIS IS A BETTER CHIPOTLE. And I love Chipotle, so this is really saying something. From the outside, I would have never known how great this place really is. Its located in a strip chopping center where an old Chicken Kitchen used to be. I stopped by to grab a quick bite to eat and order a huge salad, called the Acapulco Salad. For under $10, I bought a huge deliciously healthy salad, that had sour cream and avocado (not so healthy, but optional) and with no extra charge. Also, the salad came with delicious tostones, which I don't have often so I really enjoy them when I do. All the produce was really fresh and they provide a free salsa bar with an array of various salsas. I disagree with some reviews that this place is so-so. I thought Whole Enchilada was delicious (which was just down the street) and so far this place seems even better! I really recommend this if you are looking for an inexpensive fast casual lunch spot.

We LOVED their hot tamale dip. We had fajitas, carnitas & a kids chicken meal. Everything was pretty good but I didn't feel it was $39 good. We also had two fountain drinks. Just seemed a little pricey for 3 tacos, a piece of chicken, the fajita plate was TINY and two pops. We didn't try the salsa bar bc it was swarming with gnats. Prob won't return but it wasn't the worst :) def try the hot tamale dip. It was delish and you can purchase some for home!

I discovered this place one evening when I was looking for a quick bite while waiting for somebody to arrive at the bus stop. I'm not a super huge fan of quick Mexican chains until now. The food was fresh , delicious and healthy. The options and combinations were numerous. The service was also great. I have now been back three times in the last two weeks. I really wish they had one closer to home. I would definitely recommend this place for somebody looking for a quick, healthy, Mexican meal.

Love this place! Great modern Mexican, reminiscent of Chipotle, but in a much more diverse and cultured way. Steak tortas are my favorite. Their salsa bar is ok but lacks creativity. Service is ok at best. The last time I ate here the cashier was on the phone yelling at someone most of the time. I will definitely continue to frequent this restaurant, if service improves I may change the rating to 5 stars.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try while we were in Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise. It was close to our hotel which was a plus, and the reviews seemed favorable, so we decided to give it a try. Lets start by saying that it's better than Chipotle. And I love Chipotle, so that's saying a lot. There's just something about this place that feels better. Something about the atmosphere. It's enjoyable. And then there's the food.. excellent! I ordered a burrito bowl with carnitas, and it was delicious and refreshing. But not as refreshing as the beergarita that I ordered. A margarita with a beer in it. Who could pass that up? I see that they have multiple locations.. I hope that they make their way up to Daytona. I'm sure it would be successful in the area where I live. And they would certainly be getting a lot of business from me!

I went in last week to order take out for dinner. I waited by the counter for 10 minutes until someone even acknowledged I was there. The lady that took my order did not understand me and I had to repeat myself a couple of times. I ordered burritos and requested extra cheese. When I returned home, I was very disappointed to find that not only did I not get extra cheese, there was no cheese in the burritos at all. Very, very disappointing.

  • Morris M.

The quality of ingredients & presentation are excellent. However, I actually left this restaurant hungry because the portions are quite small. In comparison to a place like Lime, for instance, the fajita platter is significantly smaller in terms of the amount of meat you get and the size of the tortillas. Ask for wheat tortillas and you pay more for that too. You can get the same thing with larger portions at Baja Fresh or Lime for less money. I was a bit disappointed.

When I first moved to the downtown Fort Lauderdale area, there were no Mexican restaurants in my immediate vicinity. So when Salsa Fiesta was opening, I was excited! Although it's Tex-Mex and not authentic Mexican food, I was still glad for the variety in the area. The first time I came here, I ordered the "hot tamale" bowl. Since then, I've ordered the "Santa fe" and the "guacamole." The food quality is fresh and much better than chipotle! The flavors were great, as were the food portions. One of those bowls lasts me for two meals. They even serve margaritas! The restaurant also delivers through a delivery service called "Delivery Dudes." I would recommend this place for a quick bite. This is definitely one of the better Tex-Mex restaurants.

I've recently entered what I can only call a 'Mexican phase' I could eat Mexican every day. So I had to give this place another try. Turns out Salsa Fiesta no longer charges for chips and Pico (yay) while at the same time not raising their prices. They have revamped their menu a bit, added a few items here and there and I have to say, I like them again. As a matter of fact, I've been there so many times over the past few weeks, they might soon call me by name. I now always get the urban bowl - it's a type of salad, comes with a nice big scoop of guacamole on top and it's super filling. The owners must have taken the bad reviews to heart, because whatever they are doing there now, it works. I'm not giving 5 stars because the salsa is still not good, but mixed in with my salad it's fine.

  • Patrick L.

Pretty simple fast-casual stuff here, nothing too crazy, but I'd say the Fiesta works for a quick Mexican fix. I think that what I like most about this place is that it doesn't have to be your standard Mexi-American unhealthy grease fest. I had the spicy hot tamale steak burrito with a whole wheat tortilla. Somehow satisfying, fresh-tasting ingredients, without being terribly filling....I didn't walk around for the next 3 hours feeling like I swallowed a cannonball. There's a fair variety of salsas, including one that definitely brings the heat. I tried a sampling of them, and found that the "mild" one actually had the most flavor and tasted the most fresh. You see? I don't automatically run to the hottest sauce available, even though that is my reputation. Would this be my go-to for an authentic, top-notch Mexican night out? Absolutely not; I have other places for that purpose. However, I'm pretty sure that if this was in my office's neighborhood, I'd be a regular for lunch.

I drove all the way to Broward for National Taco Day today. I will get to the details in a bit, the best part about this restaurant is that you can see them preparing your food on the spot pretty much anywhere you sit. You are given a little vibrating futuristic thing after you place your order and that's how they find you. Very cool and modern both in the décor and the logistics. I didn't even wait five minutes for my meal. It was pretty busy while I was there. If you have never been here, like myself, do not be intimidated upon entering. Grab a menu, you order, then you sit and wait. It's a simple 1,2 and 3 menu which will take a few minutes to sink in. I had the Spicy Tangy Tacos (1,) in a crispy shell (2,) with chicken (3.) Prices are distributed per taco and there is a 33 cent charge for fish or steak. That simple. They boast on how fresh their food is and yes, it is. You can tell before even devouring it inside your mouth. I couldn't help but notice the extremely large portions exiting the prep area. Do you know what that means? That's right, I will be back. I did not see one employee stand still the entire time I was there. They were pretty busy but, I noticed they always had a smile when speaking to the customers. That includes all employees upon eye contact. Nice to see this kind of behavior out of employees from a restaurant that is now a chain. They are also very active on Twitter.

I ve gone to salsa fiesta since they had theyre location on 29th and Biscayne in Miami. I absolutely love their food. Every item is always good so when I order I cant make up my mind. But once I moved to Fort Lauderdale it was harder for me to get Salsa Fiesta until they opened up in Aventura. So I would drive down to Aventura until they opened up in Fort Lauderdale like 3 minutes from me. The Fort Laud Location food is as consistent but the service sucks. Michelle is great and so is Elaise. but it looks like there is a new girl, short, black skinned girl. I work in the hospitality industry and this industry is not for her. Her greeting is "Hi, for here or togo" plain and plain simple. The first time She took our order togo, she gave us 2 knives and a spoon and forgot to give us our chips for the platter. So I drove back because we had gotten the delicious hot tamale salsa and we needed the chips. When I arrived back at the restaurant, shes sitting down at a table on her phone so I go over to the chef and she then comes over and I tell her I am missing my chips so in front of me she yells at the chef that he forgot to put chips in my plate when clearly its her job to check the order especially if she is handing it to me. Now yesterday was what topped it off. I called to place an order and she answers the phone and tells me that they close in 5 minutes. So as I am ordering she now tells me that I have 4 minutes to get there and that I am backing everything up.???? I shouldve hung up the phone but I am pregnant and I wanted Salsa Fiesta. That is not the way you talk to a customer.

I arrived early with a friend and they said that even though it was breakfast, they would let us order lunch if that is what we wanted. Very cool because we were out of town and walked a few blocks to get here for their lunch. Awesome atmosphere. Smelled great. Nice Mexican flare right away. They gave us a menu and I got the Steak and Fish Taco (2 steak, 1 fish). The taco's were huge and perfectly portioned. Also, they were damn good. Since I got the platter, it came with chips and salsa. The salsa is the best I have ever tasted. Sweet and tangy. Delicious. I wanted to take the restaurant back with me to Pennsylvania. Back pack is too small, though. I will be back if I am in Ft. Lauderdale again (which is a most definite yes).

Portions are huge and food tastes fresh. Tostones plate was awesome and the plantains were not greasy. The fish Mexican sandwich was a little skimpy on the fish, but tasty. They also have several homemade salsas to try at no extra charge. All were delicious. Good find for a quick bite.

As someone who loves Mexican food, I tell you this place is fantastic and surpassed my expectations! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and cooking, which is a huge reason i have been here three times In a week!! The salsa verde is by far the best I've had in this city. Don't miss out on this delicious place!

Very good, better quality than the other quick burrito options, smaller burritos, slighltly higher prices. The quality is worth it though. And the spicy hot tamale sauce is amazing, make sure to try it at the register where they always have it with chips for free sampling while you wait. Occasionally inconsistent in the amount of meat etc in the burritos, but infrequent enough that im still giving them the benefit of the doubt

Tonight my husband stopped there for the first time to pick up "to go." He ordered me the classic burrito without beans. I somehow received chicken wrapped in a plain tortilla :( major bummer. Who seriously orders chicken in a tortilla!? I DID get a sticker on the foil that said "special."

I've been coming to Salsa Fiesta for almost a year now. Originally found on yelp looking for a place that does gluten free and can still satisfy my vegetarian family members. I figured it was about time to pay it forward and right a review. My family drives two to three times a week from Pompano just to go there. It has something for everyone. The food is fresh. You have a variety of options to choose from on the menu. We recommend the Veracruz with fish and I usually make my own tacos because I'm gluten free. The hot tamale dip is highly recommended as well. You can always eat as much salsa from the salsa bar. The people that work there are all friendly and the service is great. Restaurant is always tidy. We usually go during lunch which sometimes can be a high traffic time with all the offices around but the staff gets you through the line and food is almost at your table immediately. The manager, James, is where he needs to be at any time be it on the register, delivering food to your table or cleaning your table after you leave. They really seem to bust there butts and care about your experience there.

This place had great service and good, fresh food. I ordered a burrito bowl, the spicy one -- I can't remember the name. It was incredibly fresh & tasted good. The salsa it came with was spicy, for once. A lot of restaurants in FL advertise that something is spicy and it never really is. I tried all the salsas at the salsa bar and the two that stood out the most was the mild red salsa, which had a great flavor, & the unique tamarind salsa which was out of this world!! The restaurant was very clean, which I appreciate & like I said, staff was very friendly and helpful!

I had 3 tacos to go. Guerrero - whole wheat-chicken, Orginal - crispy-steak, mero macho-lettuce wrap-ground beef. All were great and tasted fresh. The lettuce wrap was a little messy, probably becuase of the beans. I will definitely be back!

A great addition to Fort Lauderdale's Mexican restaurants. The guac and salsas we're a hit! Quick service like Chipolte/Baja Fresh but upon first bite you can tell Salsa Fiesta's food is much fresher! Make sure you try it... They also apparently have a mexican breakfast that I have yet to experience but have heard good things.

It's honestly hit and miss with this place. I've had some good food, but more often it's way below expectations. I'm just sitting here looking at a very unappetizing platter of tacos. I just don't understand some of the serving choices. The portions aren't good on these, the carnitas are ok, but the beef is just not appetizing. The pico is served on a bed of chopped lettuce which has seen better days and is now mixed in with it. The restaurant has flies, I assume from the salsa bar where they appear to be multiplying. Honestly guys, for what it costs, must do better. Your apologies on the way out don't really make up for the fact that my daughter and I are still hungry and going next door to get some more dinner.

So this past weekend I was out shopping with a friend and we were starving. I was recently required to switch to a low cholesterol diet and eating "fast food" is nearly impossible. We didn't have much time but wanted a delicious, fresh meal that wasn't deep fried. My friend remembered this place and I thought, great a cheese fest of processed food how will I be able to find something I can eat?!? We walked in and were greeted right away by a friendly face. She asked if we'd eaten there previously, once we told her we hadn't she proceeded to tell us about some of the items and answered all of our questions. I decided on the soft tacos. Having several options for the tortilla I decided to try the whole wheat option. I ordered three tacos (the original, mero macho, and spicy tangy). Since I have dietary restrictions I asked them to be made with chicken and without cheese and sour cream. However there are many other options available (carnitas, ground beef, steak, or fish). The food came out very quickly and I was delighted by what I saw. The food looked almost as good as it tasted. The original has pico de gallo and guacamole on it and they were so fresh and added to the seasoned chicken it was simple yet wonderful! The Mero Macho had beans and a chimichurri sauce that was divine (I added some of their salsas to this one which amplified the flavors). The last taco I had was by far my favorite, the Spicy Tangy! Roasted corn, a crushed chili salsa, and a spicy delicious poblano rajas (which is a pepper sauce that was unbelievable) topped off this unique taco that was an explosion to my taste buds. I highly recommend this place, the staff was attentive without being annoying, the food sensational, and the restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. Great place to go to get some fresh, healthy "fast food".

GREAT place to grab a quick bite to eat. Delicious fresh mexican food. There Milanesa sandwich was very yummy, I would definitely go back for more. Could be compared to Chipolte but the food is definitely better and has way more variety from appetizers to alcoholic drinks and dessert. I only wish they had one closer to where I live in Delray.

Just went here for the first time the other night and thought it was great. I had the tostones fiesta which is basically nachos with tostones instead of chips as the base. It was really yummy and filling. I love the design of the place and that they offer some things that other "fresh Mexican" type places don't- real silverware, unique salsas (they had one made from red cabbage and one from tamarinds), interesting tortas, and even breakfast. I hope they do well. We will be back : )

Originally, I came for lunch, and enjoyed it- however, they are a pain in the butt about dietary issues or special requests, and I made a mental note. Came back for breakfast the next week, and wanted the Mexican breakfast. Asked for egg whites. Lady said, no, they don't let us. By the way, NO one was there; just my wife and I. I asked for the manager; she said she WAS the manager. But she couldn't cook egg whites - and they have a griddle cook top, and eggs, so it wouldn't have been a big deal. She couldn't, she said, because the boss watches her on the cameras. Uh, ok.... So then we asked for it regularly, but please cook the egg a little longer so the yolk was hard (easier for us to cut around and remove). She said fine, then the cook proceeded to give it to us loose and undercooked -- the exact opposite of our request. Huh? We asked her to cook it more, as agreed, and she gave us a hard time, until I literally started to walk to the grill to do it myself. At that point, she finally cooked it a minute longer to firm it up as asked. Jeez. Finally, I asked her to have the owner - the goofball that allegedly won't agree to egg whites or firm yolks - call me, but he never did. Strange place with strange rules. Avoid. Dec 2014 update: this place is still a disaster. I went to pick up food for takeout, and when I got home I realize the order was completely messed up with additions and revisions to my order that I did not want and did not like. The food and service here are a complete disaster. as I noted in my last Yelp review, avoid this place at all costs.

I have been to this location twice now and I'm happy it's here! I recently went for a yelp event and really enjoyed a variety of what the restaurant has to offer. This place is family owned and the staff is top notch for a fast lunch or dinner spot. Their guacamole is delicious, and their burrito bowls are tasty too.

This is my second time there and just disappointed both times. This time, I had the Mexican fish bowl and it is not good. The service was not good, it took over 20 mins to get my food and then they forgot the chips(which you have to pay extra for). That leads me to my next point, I don't mind paying for good food but the cost and quality do not match. It is like an overpriced Tijuana flats. However I enjoy Tijuana much better.
